Since we're at our Tita's Place at Binmaley, we've deviced to take the road to a nearby popular place called the Hundred Islands, located in the nearby city if Alaminos, Pangasinan. Lucky us we've brought all our things together for the trip and a few extra bucks to spend for the travel. So off we go.
How To Get There?!
We've asked a couple of locals around to check what's the fastest way to the place, lucky for us it's just a short Bus ride from Binmaley and a tricycle ride from Alaminos and you're there, spot on! Hundred Islands. The tricycle driver was asking us where we're going and we said to the Hundred Islands, he actually showed us a tour we can take for a lower price which, according to him, can get us to the main islands and a few spots on some islands that we can take pictures on.
Tourist Destinations
Our first stop, Governor's Island. We've found out that among the hundreds of islands in this place only a few of them has an area to have boats like these can dock. Most of them doesn't. Our tour guide said there's four or five islands ( the major ones) that he can take us in, and this would be the first.
The boat owner herself :-) doing the usual "peace sign" that most tourist's do when taking in a selfie. Peace!
The Pogi Look. First spot from Governor's Island. A very fantastic view of the island's famous dock.
This is the view from Governor's Island Hilltop. Another popular spot from the many islands here. The photo above shows how far we've walked up to this location (and just imagine all that stairs) but the sight was so amazing, it's like you're on top of the world.
The third Island we've docked in was the same spot a popular tele-serye Marina was shot. Something about a mermaid, or something like that. So this was a popular spot... kindda... so people call this the Marina Island.
This is me doing some snorkling, one of the perks they provide on the tour that we took. Pretty cool! We fed a lot of fish that day!
Here's a zoomed-in picture of the gigantic bats in Bat Island, and they named it that way for some obvious reason.
here's Children's Island from afar. It's almost late in the afternoon so we're trying to hurry and get to all locations. I kind of wondered at first why it's called Children's Island, we've found out that it's named that way because of the shallow waters surrounding the Island, so even a kid can go from one island to another just by swimming across.
Here's a good spot to take a picture inside Cuenco Tunnel... or cave... (lol) thanks to the friendly local who took this picture for us.
A very satisfied look from someone who had a very satisfied get-away. Doing that famous "peace sign" again.
After all of the tours, tired and exhausted but full of satisfaction. We went back to Binmaley for a nice long rest. For all of you who wish to take the tours we've taken, I'll have the details of the contacts below:
